WP2: Guiding principles and land-use options

With the background of a fundamental concept of transformation, guiding principles and land-use options for promoting insects in agricultural landscapes are developed. These guiding principles pay special attention to agricultural areas and their interactions with the whole landscape. The development of general guiding principles and land-use options is followed by case-specific application of these principles on individual Landscape Laboratories and identification and weighting of those land-use options that most likely lead to a facilitation of insects. Eventually, ways to integrate these land-use options are to be examined. This process includes evaluation of transformation approaches with regard to ways of realization in Landscape Laboratories and their integration in Landscape Laboratory-specific guidance principles.
